There just comes a point where you know something is off, and it should be questioned. The film comes off as being completely unbelievable, and at the same time, it actually happened! That's what's so annoyingly frustrating. I just wanted to scream at the people in the film the whole time because they did absolutely everything wrong

Compliance (2012):Summary to the end. We walked out after the first hour. The plot may be based on a true story, but it was impossible to believe that the characters in this film would take orders from a prank caller for as long as they did. The film is supposedly based on a news account of a voyeuristic crackpot who, posing as a cop, called a fast food restaurant and accused a clerk of stealing money from a customer. The restaurant manager then follows the incredible orders of "Officer" Daniels,
leading to the utter humiliation and degradation of the young woman who is the "suspect." No one who has watched five minutes of a TV police show or movie would believe the caller. I am surprised that any film festival deemed this movie good enough to submit its members to watching it. Though the acting was terrific, the film was basically unwatchable.
