Apocalypto is a movie set in the ancient times in the Americas when the Mayans ruled it. It tells the tale of not only the Unexplored Savage Lives of Mayans but its story in particular, is spun around one man whose survival in tough times is the only hope for his own family’s survival.
The terror of the savage tribe strikes one night when everybody is sleeping. The savage tribe has intruded in to Jaguar Paw’s land. Their mission is to make slaves out of them. They also need people for sacrifice to appease the gods from their wrath in the form of plague which is affecting their people and crops. After picking the healthiest members of the tribe they barbarically kill the other healthy ones leaving the children alone to look after themselves. Their evil act is not finished yet,they even rape some women. But Jaguar Paw is no ordinary tribesmen, he is brave and a good fighter. He manages to hide his pregnant wife and his young son in a deep hole which though is a safe place but at the same dangerous as it entraps them
Jaguar Paw and his friends though brave and clever ,are unable to free themselves as they are firmly tied to long poles. The savage tribe has some members who stand out from the rest because of their fine looks. But they are just as savage as the others. They along with others treat the slaves like animals and force them to walk long distance through the thick jungle.
